The Sahalee Stone Fence System utilizes the same three blocks as the retaining wall system. Our closed seams allow the homeowner to build beautiful fences and garden walls up to 4' high that are spectacular on both sides.

Simply follow one of Sahalee Stones four patterns and impress the neighbors.

* Because of printing limitations and lighting variances, the colors shown may vary from the actual block.

SahaleeStone Installation

The following information is provided to assist you with the installation of your SahaleeStone project. If you need additional guidance on corners, curves and columns, please visit our professional section on SahaleeStone.

  Step One:

  • Determine line and height of wall.
  • Dig a trench 9 ” deep and 18” wide.
  • Fill the trench 6" with level, compacted gravel. (3/4 minus crushed recommended)

Step Two:

  • Choose a SahaleeStone pattern.
  • Begin at the lowest elevation.
  • Place a string line along length of wall face.
  • Install first course of blocks by placing block face flush with string line. Check for level side-to-side and front-to-back.(You may use up to one inch of bedding sand to level blocks.)
  • Fill behind the blocks with gravel.
  • Brush excess gravel from top of blocks.

Step Three:

After placing each course of SahaleeStone you will place pins in the proper holes.

The smaller block has only one hole and must recieve a pin each time.

Step Four:

Continue stacking additional courses of block in a running bond. Sweeping excess gravel off of the tops each time, and placing pins in each block.

Step Five:

After every 6" of wall height (each course) backfill with gravel. Aggregate should go back a minimum of 12" from the back of the wall to allow for proper drainage.

Step Six:

After backfilling each course, properly compact your backfill with a hand tamper.

Step Seven and Eigth:

Once the final course of your wall has been laid. Cap your wall by placing a bead of concrete adhesive on the last course and setting your cap into place.

Landscape behing and around the wall. Sit back and enjoy.
