Cast Iron
Ash Dumps
Is a pivoted metal door located flush with the
hearth surface through which ashes are dropped into
the ashpit below. The ash dump is exposed to the
heat from the fire. It is a known fact that cast
iron has much more resistance to heat than steel.
For permanence the ash dump should be made of cast
iron.

4 1/2 parts Sand
1/2 part Fireclay
Fire clay is available in 50 lb bags. |

Heat Stop
Water soluble and ready to use as a regular
refractory cement. Available in 15 lb can or 50 lb
pail. |
